NGA Site Survey

ABNA performed survey, inspection, and geotechnical services for the National Geospatial-Intelligence pre-construction site. The site area comprised approximately 99 acres bound by Cass Avenue, North Jefferson Avenue, North 22nd Street, and the alley between Montgomery Street and St. Louis Avenue. The survey included a topographic ground analysis, utility record information, and existing boundary monumentation along the exterior property line. ABNA supplied two Engineering technicians to perform testing trenching oversight of excavation and removal of unclassified material (debris). They also tested soil for volatile organic compounds, using photoionization detectors, and for lead, using XRF. Finally, a Geotechnical Engineer inspected the sub-grade preparation and documented removal of unsuitable material.
