ABNA Engineering is excited to welcome Mitesh Deshpande, PE to our Burr Ridge office, as the new Director of Construction Management. In this role, Mitesh will provide comprehensive on-site project management and contract management while overseeing both office and field aspects of projects. Mitesh has more than twenty years of experience in construction engineering and design with a focus on technical management on Phase III highway, bridge, and roadway projects. Additionally, Mitesh is experienced in client, staff, and budget management, as well as stakeholder coordination and constructability reviews. Over the course of his career, he has worked on multiple Phase I, II, and III transportation projects for various clients including the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Tollway (ISTHA), CDOT, Counties, and municipalities throughout Illinois.

Mitesh joins ABNA from a highly respected international consulting firm, where he was most recently the Principal Construction Manager. Prior to serving in this role, he was Lead Engineer and Senior Engineer on major complex construction projects. Previously Mitesh was a Senior Project Engineer – Design and Construction at a regional engineering firm. He began his career as a Project Engineer for an environmental consulting firm working on projects including the I-74 Reconstruction project in IDOT’s District 4. His academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Lecturer at the Maharashtra Institute of Technology in Pune, India. He earned a Master of Science in Construction Engineering & Management at the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the Maharashtra Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin and a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies Illinois (ACEC IL), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Illinois Road Transportation Builders Association (IRTBA).

Having worked with Mitesh on a major railroad bridge project in Gurnee, Illinois for IDOT District 1, we are ecstatic about adding his expertise and his attentive client delivery approach to ABNA’s leadership. We are expecting exciting times as Mitesh helps to take ABNA’s Construction Management Department to the next level.

Mitesh resides in Naperville, Illinois, and enjoys spending time with his family which includes his wife of many years, two growing boys, and a Labrador. In his free time, he both coordinates and sings in a karaoke club. Of his new role with ABNA Mitesh says, “In my new position I am excited about new opportunities to promote the growth of ABNA’s Construction Management department, as well as grow the Chicago/Burr Ridge office and the company.”
