JIB Crane for North Detention Basin Pump Station

Project Description

To facilitate the upgrades required for the North Detention Basin Pump Station, ABNA provided design and construction phase support for a three (3) ton JIB Crane. The crane was used to lower the new pumps and valves 60’ to the bottom of the pump station through an accessible hatch. Critical features of the crane design included a 9’ x 9’ x 4’ thick concrete foundation, a motor driven trolley system, electrical wiring and upgrades necessary to accommodate motorized equipment and adjacent pavement improvements to accommodate the crane mobilization and set.
