ABNA provided civil engineering design services for a 2,100-foot long, 6-lane roadway tunnel beneath the new runway and taxi- ways installed to support the Lambert St. Louis International Airport Expansion Program. ABNA provided structural design engineering services for a 2,100-foot long, 6 lane roadway tunnel beneath the new runway and taxiways installed to support the Lambert St. Louis International Airport Expansion Program.Civil design included earthwork and subgrade improvement; paved tunnel approaches and roadway alignments and grades; surface and subsurface longitudinal and transverse drainage systems; and north and south tunnel portals. Structural services included review for the Civil Section (Roadway and Site Plan) in addition to the following implemented elements: 2,100-foot long 6-Lane Approach Roadway, Pavement Structure, Subsurface Drainage, Storm and Sani- tary Sewer system, Duct Bank and Dual Electric Casing, 24 inch water line, Emergency Access Areas with Landscaping site plans at tunnel portals, Oil-Water Separator structure, Wastewater Force Main and Pump, Water meter vault, Erosion Control plans, Pave- ment Markings, Hazardous Cargo Advisory Signs and Dynamic Mes- sages Signs (ITS) and all other necessary roadway related items.
