Project Description
The Coldwater US Pump Station (P-180) project was conceptualized to provide underground storage facilities for the location on the south bank of Coldwater Creek, in St. Louis County. As a subcontractor, ABNA designed and prepared the buoyancy calculations. The facility included 1,050 lineal feet of 66″ pipe and 81 lineal feet of 18″ connecting pipes. The 66” pipes were laid out in seven (7) parallel rows and each row will be 150 feet long with 9-foot spacing between the pipe centerlines. Ultimately, the new system stored approximately 180,000 gallons of peak wet-weather flow. The project required accounting for possible radioactive contamination of the area, as designated by FUSRAP.
